This Privacy Policy explains how JP Calc (“we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information in the Apps we build for the App Store (“Apps”). We build Apps to keep your data on your device. We do not require an account, and we do not collect your name, contact details, or location.

Summary

 

• Any data you enter, estimates you create, or any other projects you save stay on your device. They are not uploaded to us or anyone else.
• We do not collect personal information such as your name, email, address, or location.
• The only data collected is what our subscription provider needs to manage your Pro subscription, and what Apple needs to process payment.
• We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.

 

Information We Do Not Collect

 

Our Apps do not ask you to create an account or sign in. We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, mailing address, precise or approximate location, contacts, photos, or any of the project details, dimensions, or cost figures you enter.

 

Information Stored on Your Device

 

Your inputs, saved projects, and preferences are stored locally on your device using standard on-device storage. This information never leaves your device through the Apps, is not transmitted to us, and is not accessible to us. Deleting the Apps removes this data.

 

Information Collected to Provice Subscriptions

 

Pro features are offered through an auto-renewing subscription. To manage subscription entitlements, we use RevenueCat, a third-party subscription-management service. When you view or purchase a subscription, RevenueCat processes on our behalf:

 

• A randomly generated app user identifier that is not tied to your name or email;
• Your subscription and purchase-transaction status (for example, whether a subscription is active, and renewal or expiration dates);
• Basic technical information such as device model, operating-system version, and country or region.

 

Payments are processed by Apple through the App Store. We never receive or have access to your credit-card number or full payment details. Apple’s handling of your purchase is governed by Apple’s privacy policy.

 

How We Use Information

 

The limited information described above is used only to:

 

• Unlock and maintain access to Pro features for subscribers;
• Restore previous purchases when you request it;
• Understand aggregate subscription performance (for example, active-subscriber counts) so we can operate and improve our Apps.

 

We do not use this information to build advertising profiles, and we do not track you across other companies’ apps or websites.

 

Third-Party Services

 

Our Apps rely on the following service providers, each with its own privacy policy:

We share information only with these providers, only as needed to deliver the subscription. We do not sell your personal information.

 

Data Retention

 

Data stored on your device remains until you delete it within the Apps or uninstall the Apps. Subscription records held by RevenueCat and Apple are retained according to their respective policies for as long as needed to manage your subscription and meet legal and accounting obligations.

 

Your Choices and Rights

 

 

• Delete on-device data: Remove saved projects in the Apps, or uninstall the Apps to erase all locally stored data.
• Manage or cancel your subscription: Use Settings › your Apple Account › Subscriptions on your device.
• Restore purchases: Use the “Restore Purchases” option in the Apps.
• Access, correction, or deletion requests: Depending on your region (for example, under the GDPR or the California Consumer Privacy Act), you may have rights regarding personal information. Because we hold no information that identifies you by name, such requests are generally fulfilled through Apple and RevenueCat, or by contacting us at the address below.

 

Children’s Privacy

 

Our Apps are professional tools intended for general audiences and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

 

Security

 

Because your project data stays on your device and we do not maintain user accounts, there is no central store of your personal information for us to breach. Our service providers use industry-standard safeguards to protect the limited subscription data they process.

 

International Users

 

Our service providers may process the limited subscription data described above on servers located in the United States or other countries. By using our Apps, you understand that this information may be processed in countries whose data-protection laws differ from those in your country.

 

Changes to This Policy

 

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and post the new version at this address. Material changes will be reflected in our Apps or the App Store listings.
